How to leave a legacy

Whether you are making or updating your Will your solicitor will be able to help.

A gift in your Will – of any size can have a tremendous impact on The Open University and our students; there are two main ways you can do this: A Pecuniary Legacy – leaving a specified amount (e.g. I shall give £1,000 to The Open University) A Residuary Legacy – leave all, or a percentage of, your estate (e.g. I shall give 10% of my estate to The Open University)

If you are interested in supporting us this way and would like to discover first-hand the positive impact legacies make to our work, or discuss how your gift could help, please call Sophie Hoyle in the first instance. You can call Sophie on +44 (0) 1908 659 141 or email her at sophie.hoyle@open.ac.uk. Simply letting us know if you have remembered, or intend to remember, The Open University in your Will lets us look to the future with greater confidence. It’s also wonderful to be able to thank you for thinking of us in this way.
