Why and how to partner with us

The Open University’s approach to working in partnership is to use its scale, innovation and expertise to meet the needs of the partner organisation. By working in partnership you will have access to the large global OU community. Our formal students exceed 174,000 making us the largest university in the UK and our informal learners are in the millions, 19 million per year, learning through OpenLearn, FutureLearn, iTunesU and other digital platforms.

All partnerships are developed to achieve the mutual objectives of the partner organisation and the OU. Partnerships can tackle industry challenges, fund exciting OU projects or support scholarships that give disadvantaged individuals the opportunity of life-changing education.

Partnerships are recognised through our extensive communications on social media, publications to donors and alumni (25,000 and 450,000 respectively) and regular student communications.
